Wow, it's been two weeks since I have posted an entry.

Well, I guess all I have to say is that college is kicking my butt, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that I have issues keeping on top of assignments. I have forgotten several times to look at the syllabuses and so have had to scramble to get assignments done.

Fall Term is quickly coming to a close, and then winter term will start and... well, I have made it through a term of college! Awesomely enough, I don't have to take math because I took probability and stats last year and got the four credits for math so I'm pretty happy about that. >w< Math isn't my strongest point.

There were only maybe a few other YYH cosplayers at the Kumoricon this year... .___. I think that Portland's love for YYH quite frankly has been destroyed for the most part... *sigh* so sad...

So I haven't actually been to the Kumoricon yet, considering the convention doesn't start until Saturday.

But I've finished my own cosplay (Kurama) and am helping (err, making! XD) my friend finish her Keiko cosplay.

The old wounds I speak of, that this post just heavily reminded me of, is the whole: "OH! IF YOUR BEST FRIENDS, THEREFORE EXTREMELY CLOSE, ARE THE SAME GENDER, AND SPEND A LOT OF TIME WITH EACH OTHER, THAN YOU HAVE TO BE GAY!"

An example of the kind of remarks I, and my best friend, had to put up with throughout middle school and through high school. It's a bit of the mentality that I have found quite a few KuramaxHiei fangirls seem to have.

I don't think that just because you're best friends with someone of the same gender means that you're gay.

PERIOD.

(Yes, the forum post is about Kurama being gay, though there are references to the Hiei and Kurama pairing. No, I'm not just frustrated because it's a bit of character bashing on Kurama. I'm frustrated because it stirred up some old memories.. that I would have liked to leave in the dust.)

If anyone is planning on attending the Kumoricon 2009 convention this year, and is looking for a group or just someone to hang with, feel free to leave me a message here. ^_^

I am also interested in anyone who plans on cosplaying from either the Yu Yu Hakusho or Vampire Knight fandoms, since I am hoping to have finished both my Kurama and Yuuki Kuran cosplay by the time the con starts.

It's officially over for me!

I didn't think that I would make it past these four years of being trapped in that building from hell, but I have made it and I have my diploma in hand! (I'll put up some pictures of it later, and maybe even one or two of myself too~! <3.)

The graduation ceremony was LONG... 400 graduates total in my class - I wanted to scream with excitement when I walked across the stage. It seemed like it took an eternity for me to get to that point of the ceremony.

I hate to admit it, but, I think I'm going to miss high school.

I'll miss getting to see certain people everyday, and the lunches at the locker and outside under the tree near the bowl, and certain teachers... there ARE things I will miss. But, I guess a good thing is that I'm only going to a school in town, so I can always visit. Yes, I did say I might visit...

I'm tired, I have been up for almost forty-eight hours now. I'm in need of some sleep.

I did this all on my own, without a team - because our team this year was... non-existent.
